meet the makers

Born from a love of ice cream & bikes, Sweet Ride Ice Cream Sandwiches was created by Elliot & Cathy in the winter of 2023 and launched in Traverse City, Michigan Spring of ‘25.

Elliot’s background as a professional chef and huge passion for restoring vintage mountain bikes combined with Cathy’s many years making unique jams and baked goods - sparked an exciting conversation one fine Winter day and over the next year, Sweet Ride was born.

Rather than buy a new cart, we chose to restore a well loved 1993 Worksman Vending tricycle we came across for sale in the middle of the mitten.

We gave it a much needed glow up and we’re absolutely in love with how it turned out!

we then sought out the highest quality ice cream Michigan has to offer - the Farmer’s creamery (Mio), paired them with thoughtful & nostalgic topping combinations & the softest, made from scratch cookies to create an exclusive line of ice cream sandwiches!

We’ve also created a selection of flavor forward - Gluten Free & Dairy free ice Pops!

We love to play around with flavor combinations and utilize as much as we can with whats in season from the farms all around us!
